At the November 2008 Headmasters’ meeting, Head of School Jason Kreutner was named the South Carolina Independent School Association’s Headmaster “Rookie of the Year” for the 2007-2008 school year.
On October 6, 2008, The Post and Courier examined the important effort of Louie’s Kids to battle obesity among chidlren of underprivileged backgrounds (“Students discover new life in Fit Club”) and this included an account of USL teacher Bucky Buchanan’s work as Program Director for the organization.
